Big Tunas are Swiming Closer to Your Waters! by Drew Gregory | Mar 14, 2012 | Big Tuna, Fishing, Freshwater Fishing | 13 comments Well, the Jackson Kayak Big Tuna has been quite the “fish” to fight to make sure it is done and done right – the Jackson Kayak way. Great news is that the mold came back to us last week and we’ve been running pre-production boats since Friday to really dial this boat in so it can begin shipping in the very very near future to closest JK dealer. It is looking like this boat is seriously going to be my new favorite boat given all that it can offer – solo paddling, tandem, face-time seating, huge weight capacity, built in live bait well (Tuna Tank), rod tip protector, tackle storage, large hatch, rod holders/stagers, rudder capable, anchor/drag chain chute etc. So, without further ado, here are a few photos of the pre-production boat. Just know that there will be even more cool features and tweaks on the final versions that will make this boat the next on your list to check out at one of our many dealers across the world! 13 Comments Daniel Arbuckle on March 14, 2012 at 9:09 pm Dude we are so stoked to get this boat in California. Can’t wait for the first order to ship! Reply Tray Collins on March 14, 2012 at 10:50 pm Daniel, Being from Southern California and knowing the style of fishing there, I know you guys will enjoy this kayak! I wish I still lived there to experience the Pacific in the Big Tuna. Maybe I can keep one at a relative’s house for my trips back home? hmmm… Reply Daniel Arbuckle on March 15, 2012 at 2:41 am Come visit anytime. We are happy to put you up and sort you out with a boat. P.S. your all black Cuda is awesome. Reply Tray Collins on March 15, 2012 at 7:52 pm Thanks for the invite! Maybe later in the year when the weather’s better your way. I’ll shoot you a request on FB. Thanks for the compliment on the Cuda, I’m loving that kayak! Reply Drew Gregory on April 9, 2012 at 4:36 pm You’ll love this boat Ron! Reply ron on April 20, 2012 at 3:04 am april 19th still no big tuna. Fishing is upon us! Guess I can hold out another week. I will just use my pram. Reply ron on May 22, 2012 at 1:15 am picked it up today may 21. put it in the local bay. Humboldt, and had a blast w/daughter. I am a malibu xfactor owner and big tuna is faster and tracks better. Xfactor seems more stable, but I like my big tuna. plan on fishing offshore next weekend. Post to follow.
