Mexico in the past couple of years has become one of the top hotspots for creek boaters and waterfall hucksters alike. Personally it is one of my favorite places to paddle, with jungles for river banks, warm weather, perfect waterfalls and tons of top class rapids it is hard to beat. In all the places to paddle in Mexico the Rio Alseseca is one of the best, with tons of different sections all of which could be their own river in their own right.
This past January EJ, Dane, Alec and I were able to head down to the Alseseca to meet up with Mexican local Rafa Ortiz and race our new Karma‘s in the annual Alseseca Race. While down there we were also able to film a TV show for Facing Waves. Here is the online version of the show if you missed it on the Outside Channel.
