Jackson Kayak

The Big Tuna is one of our largest capacity kayaks with the ability to paddle either as a tandem or a solo fishing kayak. It has many different seating positions allowing for traditional tandem positions, ‘facetime’ positions and a good variety of solo positions making it a great platform for fishing of all kinds. Its JK stability, logical accessory positioning, rudder option, and speed make it a serious predator in all water types. Unique “Tuna Tank” can be used as a livewell or dry storage.

Hi Khalil. The design on the big tuna is several years old. The only physical changes are colors and we have made some seat changes over the years.

    Greetings from Perth, Australia,

Tandem kayaks are generally tagged as marriage breakers, the big tuna negates this as it can be either tandem or solo, I find it hard to believe with the way kayaks have evolved that there has been no changes, there is room for improvement on this fine boat and it seems only solo fishing kayaks are getting the latest innovations.

excuse the pun but i think Jackson is missing the boat here 🙂

by the way what colors are available for 2020 and is it possible to order a specific color.

      Hey there!

You can see available colors in the colors tab on the left of the store page. (we update these every season) I am sorry, but we do not do custom colors.

Looks like “jencarlgt” missed the boat with understanding design. The big tuna has been around for 6 years….no need to go reinventing the wheel of it works. Especially since the seat upgrade in 2015. Auto manufacturers run vehicle production for that long with no major changes…and we’re talking tens of thousands vs a couple grand boat.

With the trend towards personal accreditation, I see no need to reinvent the wheel annually. I’m sure if a new competitor rises to challenge its position in the market, they’ll make some design changes.

The only thing I’d change in the big tuna is give it a sliding solo position seat for trim when solo.
