Bite Angler

Jackson Kayak

The Bite Angler takes the 2019 Bite and adds new features including extra seat padding, seat security clips, MOLLE panel for ease of customization and is now offered in most fishing colors for 2020. Easily accessible tackle storage located along the gunnels provide a convenient spot for stashing tackle boxes, and rod stagers are molded into the geometry of the deck for quick rod changes.

The open-concept deck has been long-awaited from Jackson, giving the paddler ample storage space fore and aft along with a system of touring-style bungie cords. These areas are perfect for crates, hard and soft coolers, dry bags of gear and more for daily usage and long exploration trips.

From paddle to pedal, the Bite family offers a full-featured, premium kayak experience with something for quite nearly any outdoor enthusiast at a very attractive price point.

Can I get the Bite in a solid color such as yellow or green and if so does it cost more?

I was told by my dealer the Bite Angler isn’t shipping due to seat issues. Any ideas when this might be resolved?

Not issues, a back order of the MOLLE seat backs is the delay. Think that’s almost solved.

Thanks for the new colors and upgrading the seat…that was the only thing that kept me from getting one this year…seat was just to straight backed and thin…Going to have one in the spring now. The open clean concept is exactly what I want. Pretty sure both are due to customer reaction…and reacting that quickly to customer feedback shows what a great company you have. Thanks for creating the Kayak I really wanted.

I’ve got that 2019 without the seat retaining hooks. Where can I get a set of them to keep the seat from jumping out of the holder?

My bite I own the seat will not lay flat. Is there any other seats I can buy?

You can purchase a replacement seat here. https://www.jacksonadventures.com/products/bite-rec-seat-kit-4-0/
However. Your the bite seat has a ergonomic bend in the backrest, so it will not lay flat if pushed forward in the clamshell position. Try loosening the straps and letting it lay back (in the open book position) You will find it lays much flatter. Also remember that your seat was designed to be removed for transportation

Are your kayaks completely made in the USA?

    Reply
    • Will Richardson

Yes! They sure are Elaine. The only part we currently have to manufacture outside of the US is one part of our FD pedal drive. The rest, down to the nuts and bolts are either made in our factory in Sparta, TN or sourced in the US. We are very proud of that, and our motto is “Build it like it’s yours”
