I started fishing at the young age of 7 with my father like most.   In my teenage years I really started to develop a passion for fishing, and purchased a canoe.  I spent most of my summers in the canoe chasing anything that would bite.   As I got older, I started to venture out into fishing from boats.   I spent some time fishing local club tournaments for bass, as well as some bigger walleye tournaments with a good friend.   Over the years I have continued to down size my boats until finding  the kayak.

When I first got into a kayak, it reminded me of the time I spent in the old Coleman canoe in my youth.   Except it felt a little more special.   The connection to the fish , and the water out of a kayak is hard to put into words.  I grew a burning passion to be more involved in the little plastic boat world.
In 2018 I started what is known as the Paddle N Fin Podcast.  The idea was to help spread word of this amazing community, to help educate those getting into it, and most importantly share the stories of those that spend a lot of time in kayaks.
In 2019 I swan dived right into the competitive side of kayak fishing.   I fished the central region KBF Trail Series, as well as the Pro Tour.  I love the competition, and putting myself up against some of the best anglers in the country.  Most importantly I fell in love with the camaraderie amongst my fellow anglers.
Behind every paddle stroke, or rotation of my flex drive there is a new adventure.
