Northern Colorado
My friends call me WAX, I reside in Northern Colorado but I oversee Brewery Production at Oskar Blues in Colorado and Brevard, NC so I am lucky enough to spend time in both. I spend most of my Colorado fishing in Mountain lakes chasing Trout and Grass Carp, I also spend a fair about of time in lakes and ponds here on the front range chasing warm water species, my favorite being bass on my SUPerFISHal. I have been fishing since I was a kid, I started out fishing in Dana Point Harbor and as I grew I began to spend more time on boats offshore and surf fishing. As teen we would go to the sierra’s every April for the Trout season opener. In 1994 I moved to Colorado where I focused on family and Brewing, but when I had spare time we were camping and trout fishing. Over about the past 10 years I have been fly angling, I spent a great deal of time in float tubes but over the past couple seasons I have migrated to Jackson Kayaks and paddle boards. I enjoy the flexibility, access that you can experience in a yak or on a board, and the sunshine and freedom to move about beats waders in a float tube!
