Growing up in Northern Ohio I had the opportunity to do a lot of fishing with my dad as a kid. From walleye and perch up on Lake Erie, to crappie fishing local lakes. As I got a bit older I’d venture around town catfishing local ponds and also creek fishing for small mouth. Chasing catfish really called my name though. As I got older I started tournament catfishing around the state as well as around the country. And than a few years ago I started taking to the many small rivers in my area in a kayak. That fun past time quickly grew into a passion to explore often overlooked small rivers and hard to reach areas in my Jackson Big Rig in pursuit of catfish. I now travel all over with my Big Rig chasing cats for fun as well as in tournaments always looking for that next trophy size fish.
