Phil Boyer sends in his latest from Chile! Awesome! by Will Richardson | Feb 15, 2008 | Whitewater | 0 comments Photos By Phil Boyer With a few days off in between trips, I headed to the Michimahuida river with Jorge Esquivel and a few friends. The river flows down from the Michimahuida glacier through a very steep canyon with amazing views of glaciers and temperate rain forests. The canyon is very steep and would be nearly impossible to hike out of. The first four plus hours of kayaking is mostly read and run class four with a few class fives thrown in to keep us on our toes. Be very careful of the wood sieves and undercuts! The final two hours is class two, but the views are overwhelming. If you have a chance to get on this run be careful and have a great time.
